Cabling Infrastructure:
The infrastructure or ‘structured cabling’ should be considered the arteries of any Smart Home. Without these, the control equipment, or heart of the home cannot communicate effectively with the rest of the organs.
Whether it’s Audio, Video, Data, Lighting, Heating or anything else, if the correct cabling is not in place, these services will be unreliable at best or in most cases impossible to install.
The internet is awash with products claiming to be ‘smart home’ devices, usually connected via WiFi or Bluetooth. These are mostly DIY products which you could be lucky with getting to work (after hours of frustration) but certainly not a reliable solution.
