Sonor designs and installs Lutron lighting systems for luxury homes across Chester, Cheshire, the Wirral and North Wales. Lutron is the gold-standard for residential lighting control — and we've been specifying it for over 20 years.
Lutron makes the most reliable lighting control systems in the world. Their dimmers and keypads dim quietly and smoothly, last decades, and integrate cleanly with every smart-home platform we work with — including Control4, Crestron and Apple Home. For a Cheshire homeowner who wants the lighting to feel right rather than merely work, Lutron is the answer.
We specify and install across the full Lutron residential range — from RA2 Select for smaller retrofits, through Caséta wireless, to RA3 for mid-size homes, and HomeWorks for the largest installs where every circuit needs to be addressable from one central processor.
Lutron Palladiom and seeTouch keypads in finishes that match your interior — brushed brass, satin nickel, matt black, white. Engraved with your scene names.
"Welcome home" turns selected lights on. "Goodnight" dims everything down. "Movie" coordinates with the cinema system. Designed around how you actually use the house.
Tunable-white fittings that automatically warm at sunset and cool at sunrise, mimicking natural daylight cycles. Surprisingly transformative.
Roller shades, drapery tracks and Palladiom honeycomb — silent motors, perfectly synchronised, integrated with the lighting and climate systems.
For larger homes — fully addressable lighting, every circuit controllable. Designed in collaboration with architects and lighting designers from concept.
Lutron drives the lighting; Control4 drives the broader smart home. Both talk to each other seamlessly so the user experience feels like one system.
Throughout Cheshire and North Wales — Chester, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Prestbury, Tarporley, Heswall, Caldy, West Kirby, Llandudno, Conwy and surrounding areas.
For new builds and major renovations we like to be involved from concept — working with the architect and interior designer to plan circuits, locate keypads in the right walls, and specify fittings that suit the scheme. For retrofit installs we work around existing wiring, often using Lutron's wireless Caséta and RA3 systems where pulling new cable would be invasive. Either way, every project ends with a calibration pass and a one-to-one training session so you know how to live with the system.
If you're an architect, interior designer or builder working on a Cheshire residential project, we're happy to attend a no-obligation design meeting at concept stage. That early conversation often saves a 5-figure retrofit later.
