Whole Home WiFi

Whole-home WiFi & network infrastructure

A smart home runs on its network. We design and install enterprise-grade wired and wireless infrastructure that delivers fast, reliable, seamless connectivity throughout your property — the foundation every other system depends on.

The foundation everything else depends on.

Every smart home system — Control, 4K streaming, multiroom audio, security cameras, home working — relies on a network that simply works. Not almost works. Not works most of the time. The router supplied by your ISP is designed for one device browsing, not a sophisticated smart home across a large property.

We design and install enterprise-grade wired and wireless networks that are fast, reliable, and completely invisible — the infrastructure your smart home deserves.

Network design & installation

Seamless WiFi Coverage

Multiple professional-grade wireless access points — from Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki, or Ruckus — providing whole-home WiFi with no dead spots. Intelligent roaming switches access points without dropping a packet.

Structured Cabling

Cat6A backbone cabling throughout the property — to every TV point, WAP location, and equipment rack. A cable always outperforms WiFi for speed and reliability. We do it properly, first time.

Enterprise Equipment

Managed switches, professional routers, and rack-mounted infrastructure designed to run 24/7 without issue — a world apart from consumer-grade equipment.

Network Segmentation

Smart home devices, personal devices, and guest access on separate network segments. Better security, better performance, and if a device causes issues it can't affect everything else.

Home Office

Mission-critical hardware for working from home — dedicated wired connections, UPS backup, and configuration that ensures your calls and connections are never interrupted.

Remote Management

Remote monitoring means we can often identify and resolve issues before you've noticed them — fast, efficient aftercare with minimal disruption.

WiFi in every room, garden included

Full-speed, reliable WiFi in every room of the house, the garden, the pool house and the garage — rather than a single router at the broadband entry point. We design a network of professional access points, cabled back to a central rack, that hands your phone seamlessly from one to the next as you move through the house. Streaming, video calls and every smart device get the bandwidth they need.

The network your smart home runs on

Every service we install depends on the network: multiroom audio, video distribution, cameras, lighting control, heating. A properly designed network with enterprise-grade equipment, structured cabling and separate segments for guests and smart devices is what makes the whole home reliable — and stays reliable as devices multiply.

We monitor and manage the network remotely, so most issues are resolved before you'd notice. Larger homes, outbuildings and long gardens are handled with point-to-point links and outdoor access points.

Where we install

Whole-home WiFi and structured cabling across Chester, Cheshire, the Wirral, Trafford and North Wales — new builds, renovations, and existing homes with poor coverage. See design & cabling for pre-wire on new builds.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the WiFi from our broadband router not good enough?

A single router covers a small area and struggles with thick walls and many devices. A designed network uses several access points, cabled back to a central point, so every room and the garden get full-speed coverage with seamless handover.

Can WiFi reach the garden, pool house or garage?

Yes. Outdoor-rated access points and point-to-point links extend the same network to outbuildings and long gardens.

Do we need cabling for good WiFi?

Access points perform best when cabled. We route cable to the right positions, usually with minimal disruption, and use wireless links only where cabling isn't practical.

Will smart home devices slow down our WiFi?

Not on a properly designed network. Smart devices, guests and family devices are separated onto their own segments so nothing interferes with anything else.

Can you fix drop-outs and dead spots in an existing house?

Yes — we survey the property, identify the causes and design coverage for the whole home. This is one of the most common jobs we do.
